Founded by Cara George, OTEA (Oh-Tay-Ah) is a wallpaper and textile studio that revels in refined yet cheeky old-world maximalism. Drawing from folk art, vintage kitsch, flora and fauna, and architectural antiquity, Cara’s watercolor prints pay homage to Otea Pollera, her great-aunt who remained in Italy when the rest of the family immigrated to the United States, as well as to all the matriarchs whose stories and strength shaped her lineage.
